As most of you know, our son Reid, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on April 15, 2007, and over 18 months later we are
still learning, adjusting, and dealing with our new lifestyle.
Since being diagnosed, Reid has had to prick his fingers over 3288 times. He has received over 1644 injections of
insulin. Each day those numbers increase. They will continue to increase until a cure is found.
That is where you can help. We are once again forming a family team, "Reid's Rangers", to participate in the
Juvenile Diabetes walk on Saturday, October 11th at the Alamodome in San Antonio. We would love for you to join
our team and help walk to defeat diabetes. Another way you can help is by your monetary donations. All donations will go directly
to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the leading organization in research for the cure of diabetes. This amazing
foundation is the key to finding a cure in Reid's lifetime.
Last year we raised almost $3000! We were overwhelmed by your generosity and your thoughtfulness. We want to
say thank you from the bottom of our hearts and hope you will once again support Reid.
Thanks to all of you who have remembered us in your thoughts and prayers. We know that we could not have made it without
them!
